The press named several reasons for Hamilton's accident

We reported that Lewis Hamilton crashed his car during testing in Barcelona on Wednesday. The seven-time world champion was not injured, but the team had to end work on the track early - mechanics were restoring the SF-23 until the end of the day, so Charles Leclerc was unable to get behind the wheel.

The Italian press managed to find out several reasons that led to Hamilton's accident. According to Autoracer, Lewis hit a bump at Turn 12, lost control of the SF-23 and crashed into the protective barrier.

However, this is not the only reason voiced by the press. According to Sky Italia, Lewis was testing a new pedal assembly and trying to get used to the peculiarities of the Brembo brakes that are installed on the Ferrari. Over the years of performing at Mercedes, Hamilton got used to the brakes manufactured by Carbon Industries and even asked Ferrari if it was possible to install these brakes on his car, but was refused.

Lewis was rumoured to be working on his braking technique at the time of the crash, taking into account the peculiarities of the Brembo, and this caused the crash.

Ferrari continued testing in Barcelona on Thursday with Antonio Giovinazzi and Dino Beganovic.
