McLaren boss Zak Brown has responded to Johnny Herbert's dismissal as a steward and expressed his opinion on the Formula 1 judging system, stating that reforms are needed.
"I know this may be an unpopular opinion among my colleagues, but I do believe that in a sport as high-tech and expensive as Formula 1, you can't rely on a temporary steward system that has proven inconsistent at times.
We're talking about a multi-billion dollar business, and if we need to invest a little more to make the judging fairer and more transparent, then we're ready to do that," PlanetF1 quotes Brown as saying.
The FIA has not yet commented on Brown's proposal, but PlanetF1 sources inside the organization claim that the issue of judging reform is indeed being discussed at the highest level.
